Gray C. Stahlman, MD

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Spine Specialist

BIO

My name is Gray Stahlman. I am a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, practicing since 1996. I completed my medical school, residency and internship at Vanderbilt University followed by a spine fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center. Since I have my undergraduate degree in bioengineering, many have asked why I became a spine surgeon. I was an engineer by training, but health care was my passion. My father was a neurosurgeon. My mother was a neurosurgical scrub nurse. I guess it was a family calling.

I enjoy cooking, cycling, running and training. In my opinion, Tennessee is the perfect place to live. Good people, great city, short distance to the country, great cycling, great food and great music. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Mary, and my awesome wing man, Zeke, our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.
