Hello, my name is Edward Mackey. I graduated from Dartmouth College and attended medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. I completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a fellowship in neck and spine injuries and disorders at San Francisco Spine Institute. There, I participated in published research including studies on degenerative scoliosis and cervical degenerative disc disease.
Because many spine problems can be managed successfully without surgery, one of my primary goals is to treat patients as conservatively as possible with minimally invasive procedures.
My wife and I enjoy spending time together with our daughter and son and sharing our great love of the outdoors hunting, fishing, sailing, hiking and snow skiing.
